CALENDAR

Daily / Monthly Schedules
and Activities

Serving the immediate daily needs of the ministry's houses' and residents
is a huge responsibility and a full time job. One which Chris Roberts; Bethel's Director of Daily
Operations fills admirably! In addition to filling a residents immediate needs Chris sees that
each house and its coordinators' are abiding by Bethel's criteria for successful operation. The
unique services which Bethel provides are served with each resident in mind. Providing any
assistance necessary; physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, which will lead to a
man's success. As well as maintaining home environments where each resident can feel at
home, among friends, receive encouragement, re-education and the room necessary to
overcome by straightening out past mistakes; reconciling damaged relationships and develop
a healthy direction and mind set on a positive road to success.

Here are just few important areas of assistance which Bethel Ministries provides residents.

Employment Assistance Bethel works with local employers and employment agencies
to acquire suitable long-term employment for residents. Each resident is offered assistance in
preparing for and locating employment.

Weekly classes of H.O.P.E. (Helping Ourselves Prepare for Employment), H.I.R.E. (Here Is a
Responsible Employee), basic computer skills, Windows and Office are offered to all
residents who may benefit from this curriculum.

Anger Management
Using the Oregon State DOC core curriculum Controlling Your Anger, residents are provided
faith-based instruction to change negative coping skills. This curriculum is approved for
Oregon State's Measure 17 credit.

Personal Finances
For all individuals in need of financial counseling we provide a course on money management
entitled How to
Manage Your Money by Larry Burkett. This course offers the biblical
principles for understanding: budgeting, short- and long-term financial goals, debt reduction,
and charitable contributions.

Marriage counseling
We do not promote the beginning of any dating relationships while the individual is a resident.
We feel our clients are best served by helping them develop discipline in their own lives before
they are allowed to move into new relationships with the opposite sex. While the majority of our
clients are single some do enter the program married and having a spouse and family that
needs to be restored. Aiding in the growth and healing of those families is accomplished with
the help of clergy from the client's own church. In this way the couple develops a long term
relationship with a counselor that can assist them once the resident has graduated from the
program and is reunited with his family.

Just a few of the many services provided by Bethel Ministries.
