Nothing can fully replace the compound losses which
people suffer from acts of violence and abuse committed against
them by lawless perpetrators. And for this we are very sorry and
compassionate with a desire to see lasting vindication though the one
and only way by which individuals can receive the inner spiritual
healing transformations needed. For both victims and their
perpetrators that way is through Jesus Christ and
'Christ's Ministry of Reconciliation'.

The only way to heal our communities now and in the
future is to fill  the needs of both victims and their perpetrators.
Many ministries compassionately deal with the victims needs.
However where the offenders or perpetrators are concerned, there is
little compassion shown which equals 'good people doing nothing to
eliminate this scourge in the land'. Bethel recognises this and sees it's
ministry to be most crucial in facilitating such needs to prevent
potential victims in the future. Bethel Ministries has stepped up to
the plate.

First, by counteracting the results of law enforcement's
simple application -  the 'band-aid of incarceration' for a few
months or years and then releasing offenders back into the
community unchanged. But rather to address the causes and effects
which bring about the violence in individuals in the first place. To stop
the vicious cycle of ingrained behaviors of abuse, violence and
re-offense in communities. For offenders, this requires prevention
through intervention, re-education and re-direction at the crucial stage
when first leaving incarceration or during the period of time before
being totally freed into society on their own unsupervised. This is
the  hope and desire of Bethel Ministries.

Studies around the world and throughout the United States
show positive results obtained through faith-based recovery
programs. The Bethel Ministries's model is based on successful
Christ-centered programs currently in operation throughout our
country. And this service comes at a time when our society couldn't
need these important programs more. Bethel graduates have well
over a 90% success rate of not re offending and returning to prison.
How could any community fail to see the value of such a ministry in
their own communities? Yet many do. One of our efforts is to
raise community awareness and participation with us in this service.
God continues to bless this ministry in spite of great odds
with miracle after miracle making it truly faith based!

We do not claim to be able to change hearts.
What we are able to do is introduce others to the only One
who can change lives, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We provide
positive Christian living environments and programs supported by the
leadership of local Christian men and women, volunteers, service
organizations and law enforcement agencies. Our Lord Jesus Christ
does the changing while we facilitate the positive support group and
direction in which the lasting transformations can take place.

BETHEL HISTORY

Bethel  recognized the
importance of developing an
ongoing relationship with Christ
Jesus in each person, wanting
to help men who, having great
obstacles to overcome, desired
the kind of help necessary to
develop a personal relationship
with Jesus and make a new life.

Bethel Ministries believed that
such new Christians would
need support from each other,
the Church, and the greater
community  if they were going to
truly change their lives and stay
out of prison. Bethel saw that
men would need help finding
jobs, making new friends,
participating in educational
programs and proper
leadership that would help
them build a whole

new way of living.

The first house was a miracle of
God in that while the creator of
Bethel Ministries was driving
the streets of Boise looking
for a house to serve as a
transitional home, he turned
upon the street by the name,
'Bethel'  and as he continued to
drive further down the street, a
"for rent" sign was in plain view.
Of course this immediately
became an inspiration as the
word "Bethel" in Hebrew means
'House of God'!  Upon checking
out the rental home the owner
was more than helpful getting
"Bethel Ministries" off the
ground by renting the home to
the ministry. This house was
only the first miracle and
to this day, miracles have
abounded.

Over the years, three
additional transition homes
were added in order to
accommodate more men into
Bethel's program. Bethel has
humbly received awards for it
unique program. In spite of the
continuous ups and downs
from either the economy and or
lack of funding and resources,
Bethel has remained afloat with
God's blessings of 'miracles of
help' through generous
volunteers and offerings.

Today, more than a hundred
men have come through this
ministry. Our graduates are
flourishing as they successfully
continue in a new way of living
with hope and the necessary
tools needed for their future!
The ministry has well over a
90% success rate in men who
have not gone back to prison.
God continues to bless this
ministry in spite of great odds
with miracle after miracle
making it truly faith based!

ABOUT
REDEMPTIVE JUSTICE

By David McKellip
Retired Boise, Idaho Pastor
Web
Site
http://freed2serve.com/

In this life, Salvation is in part
and not in the whole.  What I
mean by that....Salvation, as I
understand it, is a process and
not a place of arriving.  Jesus
grace is sufficient for any one
to bring salvation.  But the
process doenst necesarily
always happen all at once.
In fact it may take a life time.

I use to tell my kids "Grow Up!"
  Salvation is a growing up
process  A maturing of the
spirit and soul.  We grow in
the likeness of Jesus.  We
become more like Him.

Sin is a terrible part of our
world today.  It is much a
part of peoples lives.  The
Bible says, If some say that
they are not a sinner, they lie
and the truth is not in them.
All sin, and all fall short of the
glory of God.

However the Scripture also
says
